#SICT.- In connection with the Easter holiday period, the General Directorate of Federal Motor Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) reports that inspection and supervision operations are being carried out throughout the entire federal toll-free highway network, which consists of 44,600 kilometers (km).
These actions include verifying the weight, dimensions, and physical and mechanical condition of Federal Motor Transport vehicles, both for freight and passenger services, with the goal of safeguarding road safety on public transportation routes.
The operations, coordinated by the Undersecretariat of Communications and Transportation, headed by architect Tania Carro Toledo, seek to prevent accidents and protect those traveling on the federal highway network during this season.
Likewise, users of the country’s airports are advised to use only duly authorized taxis and buses, avoiding vehicles with private license plates not intended for public service.
The SICT urges the public to follow these preventive measures, designed to ensure safe and efficient travel during the holidays.
The General Directorate of Federal Motor Transport reminds vacationers of the phone numbers so they can receive prompt and necessary assistance in the event of an emergency.
