#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #EstadoDeMéxico. – With the aim of improving the quality of water that reaches the families of the municipality, unionised staff of the Decentralised Public Body for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services of Tlalnepantla (OPDM) carried out cleaning and disinfection work on one of the most important tanks in the municipality.
On the instructions of municipal president Raciel Pérez Cruz, workers undertook cleaning work inside the Tlalnemex Master Tank, which has a capacity of 18,000 cubic metres and supplies more than 35 neighbourhoods in the district.
The work consisted of a first stage of manual sweeping and brushing, in which soil and mud were removed from inside the tank using brooms, shovels and buckets. Subsequently, with the support of drinking water pipes and pressure-suction trucks, the internal walls were washed and disinfected.

The head of the OPDM, Alberto Valdés Rodríguez, highlighted the importance of these actions and underlined that the Tlalnemex tank had not received this type of maintenance in approximately 10 years.
For his part, Jesús Durán Camacho, general secretary of S.U.T.EyM., expressed the great willingness of the unionised staff to continue undertaking actions that have a positive impact on the quality of life of the families of Tlalnepantla. Around 200 unionised public servants participated in this important work.
Finally, the OPDM invites citizens to continue to use water responsibly, reiterating its commitment to work for the well-being of the municipality’s inhabitants.
