Tecámac joins the First National Simulation 2025 / @rosi_wong @AyuntaTec2025

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- At 11:30 a.m., the municipality of Tecámac joined the First National Drill 2025, in which more than two thousand public servants and citizens participated, who managed to be evacuated from municipal buildings in one minute and 37 seconds.

During this event, which took place on the 40th anniversary of the 1985 earthquakes, brigades from the Civil Protection Coordination, as well as brigade groups made up of City Hall workers who are permanently trained in this area, promptly activated the respective protocol.

The hypothesis was an 8.1 magnitude earthquake with an epicentre in the Gulf of Tehuantepec, which allowed emergency protocols to be activated and coordination between authorities to be evaluated.

In the Municipal Palace, personnel from the Civil Protection and Fire Department evacuated 187 people, including administrative staff and citizens, which was carried out in an orderly manner and without mishaps.

This drill was also carried out simultaneously in the facilities of DIF, ODAPAS and IMDEPORTE, and other City Hall buildings such as the Administrative Units of Los Reyes Acozac, Quetzalcóatl and La Cuchara.

The municipal authorities highlighted the importance of these exercises to promote a culture of prevention and improve the response to natural disasters.
