FIRA Sustenta Más launches a new program to boost sustainability in Mexico’s countryside / @LorenaAlfaroG @irapuatogob >>>

#Irapuato, #Gto.- The Agricultural Trusts (FIRA-Banco de México) announced the launch of Sustenta+, a strategic initiative that seeks to accelerate the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices through financial incentives, sustainable technological innovations, and financing for agricultural projects that promote environmental protection.

The program was announced at Inforum, with the presence of Irapuato Mayor Lorena Alfaro García, Secretary of the Countryside Marisol Suárez Correa, and FIRA General Director Jesús Alan Elizondo Flores.

During his welcome address, Jesús Alan Elizondo stated that,

“For FIRA, protecting natural resources and promoting responsible agricultural practices that benefit the environment are a priority. This is demonstrated by the Sustenta+ product, which focuses on restoring the biodiversity of our country’s soils.”

The President of Irapuato highlighted the importance of increasing opportunities for agricultural producers, as they strengthen the economy of Guanajuato and the entire country, in addition to bringing higher-quality products to Mexicans and consumers around the world.

Sustenta+ will begin operations in the spring-summer 2025 crop year for corn in the states of Chihuahua, Jalisco, and Guanajuato, and for sugarcane in producing states.
