Monterrey strengthens its environmental commitment with a new edition of «Recycle and Solve»

#Monterrey, #N.L.- With the goal of establishing itself as a model city for sustainability, the Municipality of Monterrey, through the Secretariat of Sustainable Urban Development and the General Directorate for Green Development, held a new edition of the «Recycle and Solve» drive-thru program.

This Saturday, a variety of materials were received for reuse in the Home Depot Cumbres parking lot.

The event seeks to consolidate the recycling culture, provide citizens with responsible options for disposing of their waste, and move toward a circular economy.

Attendees handed in recyclables from their vehicles or on foot, receiving a native plant in return as a symbol of the environmental commitment shared with municipal authorities.

The following items were received:

-Plastic and bottle caps

-Electronics

-Paper and cardboard

-Glass

-Iron and tinplate

-Clothing and textiles in good condition

The initiative is part of the «Sustainable Monterrey» Strategy, aligned with the Municipal Development Plan to position Monterrey as a leading city in environmental stewardship.
