#CuautitlánIzcalli, #Edoméx.- As part of the recognition of the heroic acts of municipal police officers in the first months of this administration in Cuautitlán Izcalli, 40 elements of the General Commissariat of Citizen Security received economic stimuli for their outstanding actions, thus praising their work and commitment in the tasks of preventing and combating crime.

«The perception of insecurity had a slight drop, a drop that had not occurred before, and that is thanks to you and the new police scheme that we have implemented in the municipality, you are the human face of security in our municipality. Your ethics and commitment to serve with passion,» said the mayor.

The event, led by the mayor, highlighted that, according to data from INEGI’s National Urban Public Safety Survey (ENSU), the perception of insecurity went from 84.5 percent in December to 83.2 percent, as a result of joint actions to combat crimes such as theft, vehicle recovery and security operations, which has strengthened the confidence of citizens in the municipal government.

One of the most outstanding awards went to Magaly Cruz Guzmán, an officer of the Gender Unit, who participated in the location of a 13-year-old girl who had been taken against her will to the state of Oaxaca.

Finally, the municipal president stressed that with these incentives, which are expected to be awarded on a monthly basis, with the aim of motivating police officers to serve with passion, as he is confident that there are police officers with values, principles and vocation of service who are willing to work for a safer Cuautitlán Izcalli.

At the event, the recognised police officers were accompanied by their families, who said they were proud of their work, and also thanked the municipal government presided by Daniel Serrano for the delivery of these incentives that motivate them to continue working with courage and discipline in favour of the people of Cuautitlán Izcalli.
