The State of Mexico government will provide support for tractors and drones in agricultural municipalities

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The State of Mexico’s Rural Secretariat (SeCampo) is launching a call for proposals aimed at municipalities with an agricultural focus. The government of Professor Delfina Gómez Álvarez will cover up to 300,000 pesos for a tractor or 250,000 pesos for a work drone, while the municipalities will cover the remainder.

«This action seeks to provide municipalities, especially those with high rates of marginalization, with modern tools to boost agri-food production, preserve native corn, and improve the well-being of rural communities,» the call states.

Among the requirements that municipal representatives must present are a «needs assessment,» a document describing current conditions and justifying the requested support, as well as a technical project or work plan that includes objectives, goals, beneficiary population, and implementation schedule.

They must also present the City Council Agreement endorsing the request and expressing the City Council’s commitment to comply with the terms of the grant.

Registration will take place from June 3 to 9, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Applications must be submitted to the corresponding Regional Delegation of Agricultural Development, during business days and hours.
