#Tlalnepantla, #EstadoDeMéxico. – In Tlalnepantla, 170 families benefited from the permanent program “Low Cost Wills” promoted by the Municipal Government presided by Mayor Raciel Perez Cruz, through the Legal Department to bring the inhabitants the opportunity to obtain legal certainty at the time of inheriting their heritage.

The mayor pointed out that this act is intended to avoid distortions on the coexistence in the communities, “we seek to coexist in an amicable way, that there are no conflicts, the fact of determining their will in a will is an act of responsibility, the most frequent problems usually occur between families for not having that legal certainty”.

Perez Cruz thanked the trust placed by the citizens in the municipal authorities and assured that his government will continue to face the challenges posed by this city full of men and women who every day strive to build a better place for all.

«In life we not only inherit goods, when we do not act responsibly it is also possible to inherit conflicts. The lack of certainty about the destiny of our heritage can generate tensions, family disputes and lengthy and costly legal processes. Making a will, beyond being a profound act of love, is an act of responsibility,» said Miriam Martinez Barrios, head of Tlalnepantla’s Legal Department, when she spoke.

The official indicated that it can take a person approximately four months to transfer the ownership of his or her assets to the person he or she has designated, but not having a will implies that up to six months may pass if everyone agrees, and it could even take five, eight or even 10 years in case of disagreement among family members.

Aware of this reality, the Government of Tlalnepantla, assumes with commitment and social sensitivity the task of facilitating citizens the possibility of making their will at an affordable cost, an effort that goes beyond September, considered as the month of the will; currently there is a permanent program of welfare and legal protection for all families in our city.

The head of the Notary Office N°18 in Tlalnepantla de Baz Mauricio Trejo Navarro, congratulated the testamentaries for concluding this legal act that is an instrument that provides peace of mind to them and their families, which is a right established in the Law and is available to everyone.
