#GobiernoDeMéxico, #México. –  The Mexican Government, through the Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores (Infonavit), informed that, as part of the Collaboration Agreement with the Ministry of Welfare to carry out a census of 843 thousand homes that were identified as having problems, as of June 13, 168 thousand have been visited, which represents an advance of 20 percent, of which 145 thousand are inhabited and 23 thousand are uninhabited/vandalized.

In the morning conference “Las mañaneras del pueblo”, headed this Monday by the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, the director of Infonavit, Octavio Romero Oropeza, specified that the homes that are abandoned will be rehabilitated in order to be regularized.

“What we want to do, by instructions of the President, is to seek to regularize these people, who are obviously not entitled but who could receive a lease with an option to buy so that they can keep the houses,” assured the Infonavit director.

He also informed that, as part of the irregularities identified in Infonavit, 150 complaints have been filed before the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and 22 workers have been terminated for acts of corruption.

As part of the progress report on the Housing for Wellbeing program, the Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development, Edna Elena Vega Rangel, informed that work has begun in 29 states of the Republic, from January to June, and that the program has been implemented in the following states: Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico City, Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico, Mexico and the United States.
