#SICT,  #México.- The emergency actions carried out by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) after the passage of Hurricane “Erick”, allowed in 48 hours to give way throughout the Federal Highway Network Toll Free and toll roads in Oaxaca and Guerrero, said the head of the agency, Jesus Esteva Medina.

In a press conference headed by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, he referred that, with the support of 547 workers and 223 specialized machines, the removal of 173 thousand cubic meters of stone and residual material caused by the heavy rains was achieved so far.

The federal official detailed that work is currently being carried out on the last revision of 10 bridges; this involves the reinforcement of the “Tortugas”, “Cacayo”, “Papayo” and ‘Pedregal’ crossings in Guerrero; likewise, support is being provided on some state highways and feeder roads “we have already cleared all the points that we had as blockages on feeder roads”.
