Martí Batres recognizes staff of the ISSSTE’s Volunteer Workday Extension Program / @martibatres @ @ISSSTE_mx

#ISSSTE#México.– The Director General of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE), Martí Batres Guadarrama, celebrated the implementation of the voluntary program to extend the working day by up to eight hours, which will benefit around 20,000 doctors, physicians, nurses, radiologists, technicians, biologists, chemists, physicists, orderlies, workers and administrative workers of the Institute throughout the country.

«Yes we did it! With the support of President @Claudiashein we achieved the voluntary extension of the working day from 6 to 8 hours for the medical, nursing, paramedical and related staff of the @ISSSTE_mx, thus improving the income and benefits of 20 thousand workers, and also the services of the institution. We celebrate this achievement that will also help us to increase the number of consultations and surgeries and to improve the care and treatment of the beneficiaries,» he shared on his social networks.

In this vein, he recognized the health personnel, whose work, he said, is indispensable for the transformation of the services and care provided by the agency.

“For the transformation of ISSSTE -which is not only about changing physical structures, but above all about qualitatively transforming human bonds-, for that we need the working class,” he said.

In front of health personnel from the State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Morelos, Puebla, Querétaro, Tlaxcala and Veracruz, Martí Batres recalled that this program was created in response to the workers’ demand to improve their income, benefits and the basis for their retirement, while at the same time it is essential to strengthen the care provided to the beneficiaries.
