Ministry of Culture and municipalities of Aguascalientes sign agreement to strengthen children’s cultural rights / @cultura_mx >>>

#SecretaríaDeCultura, #México.- As part of the efforts to guarantee the full exercise of the cultural rights of children and young people throughout the country, the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the General Directorate of Cultural Liaison (DGVC), signed collaboration agreements with the municipalities of Cosío and San José de Gracia, in the state of Aguascalientes.

These actions will allow the development of Creative Seedbeds under model B, a co-investment strategy between the federation and local governments, which establishes that the localities assume the operating costs of the project, while the DGVC provides methodological, pedagogical and community support as part of the Community Culture program. Thus, the new groups will join the National Network of Creative Seedbeds.

It should be noted that four Creative Seedbeds are already operating in Aguascalientes and these agreements strengthen the territorial presence of the program in the state, generating broader conditions for children and youth to actively participate in the cultural life of their communities.

The Semilleros Creativos are spaces for community artistic training aimed at children and young people, which promote continuous access, free of charge and with territorial relevance to cultural and creative processes. Their implementation with model B in Aguascalientes represents a significant advance in the consolidation of cultural policies with a social focus.

The new groups will start their activities in August 2025 and will focus on performing arts disciplines.
