#SecretariatOfWellbeing, #Mexico.– In a historic event, for the first time in Mexico, on the second floor of the Fourth Transformation, there is a justice system that distributes resources among Indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples and communities, said Secretary of Welfare Ariadna Montiel Reyes.
“I want to tell you that today we come to sow a new relationship with Indigenous peoples and the Mexican State; it is based on respect and the will to transform in a shared way, but, above all, from below.
“Following our conviction to command by obeying, we can be certain that hope will reach every corner of this generous land, because the values that Indigenous peoples have safeguarded for centuries today shape our government.” «We have taken from you the example of governing from the bottom up and collectively,» he emphasized during the Community Assembly to present resources from the Fund for Contributions to Social Infrastructure for Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Communities (FAISPIAM) in Zaragoza, Veracruz.
She pointed out that with Mexico’s first female President, at her direction, it was decided that women treasurers would be responsible for managing resources for basic social infrastructure projects.
