«Caring for You, Rosario Castellanos» scholarships awarded in Tlalnepantla; they cover the needs of residents / @RacielPerezC_ @Gob_Tlalne >>

#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #StateOfMexico.– With the goal of recognizing, supporting, and empowering people who dedicate their time and effort to caring for others, the «Caring for You, Rosario Castellanos» scholarship program was awarded in the Jorge Jiménez Cantú neighborhood. This funding will cover expenses related to this activity, such as materials, therapy, and personal needs.

Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz affirmed that the local government is contributing to the public policy promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to build a National Care System that consists of supporting people, mostly women, who have dedicated a large part of their lives to domestic work and family care.

«Throughout the country, there are millions of women who have dedicated their entire lives to heavy housework and caring for children, siblings, etc. This work is done without any remuneration, and today we are here to reward them,» he expressed.

He noted that since the beginning of President Claudia Sheinbaum’s term, a pension program has been implemented for people aged 60 to 64, enabling them to live out this stage with basic dignity. This is because at age 65, everyone can now exercise their constitutional right to a senior citizen pension.

Pérez Cruz emphasized that the strength of society lies in the institution of the family and highlighted that the Municipal Government is redoubling its efforts to benefit the residents of Tlalnepantla. She also announced an increase in the number of grants for caregivers in 2026.

The Honorary President of the Tlalnepantla DIF, Rocío Pérez Cruz, explained that 100 beneficiaries of these scholarships have cared for people with disabilities and older adults, highlighting this sector, which now has the opportunity to continue doing this work.

“I want to tell caregivers that they are not alone. We at the Tlalnepantla DIF will be with them, and this Municipal Government is always here to support them. To all the families in the municipality, I want to say that we are here to work with them. We are providing quality services in all our facilities so that they all receive the care they deserve,” she stated.
