#TlalnepantlaDeBaz#StateOfMexico.- In the «Land of the Middle,» young people are at the center of the public agenda and decision-making that generates better development environments for their well-being. Therefore, the First Youth Town Hall was held at the Tlalnepantla Sports Center, as part of the activities held in conjunction with International Youth Day, celebrated every August 12th.

Before listening to the participants’ interventions, Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz acknowledged the genuine interest and strong will of young people to contribute to a more prosperous future for our city. «This First Youth Town Hall represents one of the firm convictions of this government to open real spaces where their voices are heard. Today we celebrate the richness, diversity, and transformative energy of young people.»

The Mayor highlighted the fundamental role of young people in building a more just, inclusive, and creative society. «That is why we are here to address their demands and support their development. Youth are synonymous with a movement of transformation and constructive revolution. Together, we will work on this arduous collective task of living in the municipality that we all deserve.»

The presentations began with Hugo Iván Carrasco Gutiérrez’s address on «Boosting Youth Entrepreneurship,» through which he proposed the creation of youth incubators, as well as access to microcredit and seed funds for young entrepreneurs. Camila Daniela Romero then addressed the topic «Women in STEM» (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and proposed the creation of a science program with female representatives and the granting of municipal scholarships to female students in these fields.

Angélica Saucedo presented «Responsible Use of Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Online Courses.» She presented three concrete ideas on this topic: digital training programs, partnerships with platforms, and awareness campaigns on the use of AI. Irving Garduño Salinas presented «Youth on Stage, Artistic Proposal in Tlalnepantla,» calling for the use of public spaces such as plazas, esplanades, and parks to showcase the artistic and cultural talent that characterizes the municipality’s residents.

Francisco Javier Benítez emphasized «Crime Prevention with a Gender Perspective» and proposed the implementation of ongoing campaigns against harassment on public transportation, awareness workshops for young people, and the formation of community brigades with a gender perspective.

Daniel Castelán Martínez elaborated on the topic of «Mobility» and discussed the need for safe pedestrian crossings; improved lighting on pedestrian and cyclist routes; safe transportation stops and points; and ongoing road safety campaigns.
