#Veracruz, #Veracruz.- The Ministry of Health (SS), through the State Center for Organ and Tissue Transplants, coordinated the airlift of a liver to Mexico City for a transplant procedure, in an operation involving state and federal health sector agencies.

The operation included the transportation of the organ and the medical team in charge of procuring it, using an official state government aircraft to ensure the necessary medical timeframe for its viability.

The liver was delivered to the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition, where specialists performed the transplant on a patient on the waiting list.

This procedure reinforces the importance of the culture of organ donation and the coordination between the three levels of government to save lives throughout the country.
