#ISSSTE, #México.– The general director of the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), Martí Batres Guadarrama, symbolically presented three of 448 settlement certificates to borrowers of the Housing Fund (FOVISSSTE) at the SuperISSSTE «Zaragoza» branch in the Iztapalapa Municipality, where he emphasized that the people who received their documents no longer have this debt.

«Let me tell you, in this case, for this meeting, each and every one of you has your debt settled; you leave this event debt-free. This means we’re not just handing over a piece of paper, a certificate, or a settlement; we’re giving each of you the home you requested from ISSSTE and FOVISSSTE years ago,» he emphasized.

The ISSSTE general director commented that during this meeting, a series of settlements of varying sizes were handed out, such as the case of Enoch Ortiz Montejo, who had an initial loan of 498,000 pesos, has paid 1,018,000, but still owed 821,000; or that of Consuelo Alfaro Blasio, whose original debt was 468 thousand pesos, had paid 953 thousand, but still had to pay 952 thousand, and Blanca Rosalía Santander Conriquez, who had received a loan of 435 thousand pesos, had paid 884 thousand and, nevertheless, owed 933 thousand.
