#MinistryOfCommunicationsAndTransportation#México.- With an investment of 112.173 billion pesos, the Mexican Government’s Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation is working on 10 priority highway axes, spanning 2,220 kilometers across 14 states, stated the Director General of Highways, Carlos Arceo Castañeda.

These corridors are: Cuautla-Tlapa-Igualapa; Tamazunchale-Huejutla-Pachuca; Bavispe-Nuevo Casas Grandes; Tierra y Libertad Circuit; Toluca-Zihuatanejo; Salina Cruz-Zihuatanejo; Macuspana-Escárcega; Ciudad Valles-Tampico; Saltillo-Monclova; and Guaymas-Esperanza-Yécora-Chihuahua.

During the «Dialogue with Engineers» conference, organized by the College of Civil Engineers of Mexico (CICM), Arceo Castañeda said the projects involve the modernization, expansion, construction, and, in some cases, maintenance of state roads.

The instructions from the Secretary of the SICT, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, and the Undersecretary of Infrastructure, Juan Carlos Fuentes Orrala, are to carry out the works «under the criterion that everything we do is 100 percent operational sections that truly serve the communities, not leaving any sections unfinished,» he indicated.
