#Celaya, #Guanajuato.- The City Council approved the salary adjustment for municipal police officers, who will receive a historic increase of up to 38 percent, increasing from 16,725.95 pesos per month to 23,000 pesos for lower-ranking officers.

During the 12th extraordinary session of the City Council this Wednesday, Councilwoman and President of the Human Resources and Career Civil Service Commission, Fátima González Reyna, presented the salary adjustment report to the operational staff of the Municipal Police General Directorate.

This resulted from the modification of the General Working Conditions for the 2025 fiscal year and the Centralized Public Administration Salary Schedule for 2025, which was also previously approved, with a general increase of 6.5 percent for workers.

According to the approved salary scale, the police officer (private) will increase from a current monthly salary of 16,725.95 pesos to 23,000 pesos, a 38 percent increase.

The third-class police officer will increase from 18,816.69 pesos to 25,000 pesos per month. The second-class police officer will earn 27,000 pesos, the non-commissioned officer will receive a salary of 33,000 pesos, and the officer will receive a salary of 38,000 pesos per month.

Both the general working conditions and the salary adjustment for operational officers of the Municipal Police Directorate were unanimously approved.
