In Edomex, Raciel Pérez Cruz consolidates the LIBRE Center: Trades and autonomy for the women of Tlalnepantla / @RacielPerezC_ @Gob_Tlalne >>

#Tlalnepantla#StateOfMexico.- The LIBRE Center in the Constitución de 1917 neighborhood was the scene of an emotional closing ceremony where women received their certificates for completing various workshops. With pride and satisfaction, these students completed courses in barbering, hairstyling, nail art, cooking, and other disciplines after hours of effort and dedication. This space, a meeting and training center, was inaugurated in July, the result of close coordination between the three levels of government.

The mayor, Raciel Pérez Cruz, noted that the LIBRE Center is an initiative of the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, designed to boost women’s economies. Its main objective is to enable women to start their own businesses and generate income through the acquisition of knowledge and skills, thus fostering their autonomy. The mayor emphasized the importance of these trades as direct tools to improve families’ quality of life.

As part of this comprehensive effort, and thanks to the collaboration of the National Institute for Adult Education (INEA), certificates were also awarded to women who completed primary and secondary school. Pérez Cruz emphasized his administration’s commitment to «raising the flag against illiteracy» and highlighted INEA as a «very important ally» in achieving this ambitious goal.

To strengthen the center and ensure better conditions for growth, Mayor Pérez Cruz announced the construction of an arched roof. This project aims to allow for more activities regardless of weather conditions, with the aim of increasing the number of women benefiting from this space of empowerment and sisterhood. The physical improvement is a reflection of the commitment to consolidating this educational platform.

The head of the Secretariat for Women of the State of Mexico, Mónica Chávez Durán, recognized the graduates, stating that «every minute you invest in learning something new and in your preparation is an act of self-love and a step closer to your autonomy.» She emphasized that Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez has instructed that «no woman in the State of Mexico should be alone» and that the authorities «accompany, support, and pave the way for them to decide to learn and undertake.»
