#Tlalnepantla, #StateOfMexico.- The refurbishment and recovery of «Las Caballerizas» Park, located in the Tepeolulco neighbourhood, shows considerable progress, nearing completion. This renewed space will soon become a vital hub for healthy family coexistence, serving to rebuild the social fabric for the benefit of all local inhabitants. The comprehensive work is part of a broader strategy to upgrade public areas and enhance community life.

Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz, accompanied by federal and state officials, oversaw the latest developments at the site. This project is a key component of the Strategic Plan for the Eastern State of Mexico, an initiative championed by the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, to improve living conditions. Pérez Cruz expressed sincere thanks to the Federal Government, specifically the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (SEDATU), for its integral intervention in the previously neglected area.

Regarding the park’s future impact, Pérez Cruz stated: «I am certain the community will adopt this space, make it their own; it will become a place of gathering where everyone can exercise, eat, and develop activities that promote healthy neighbourly coexistence.” He further highlighted that the new covered structure (arcotecho) is a main point, allowing young people and seniors to exercise regardless of weather conditions and providing a venue for cultural and educational activities.

The Municipal Government is also prioritising increased security, announcing plans to install at least one CCTV camera, connected to the C4 centre, for permanent monitoring of the park and its surroundings. Furthermore, Raúl Armando Quintero Martínez, Coordinator of the National Institute for Federalism and Municipal Development (INAFED), praised the local supervisory committee. He acknowledged the dedication of this group, composed mainly of committed women ensuring proper resource use for a park dedicated to wholesome recreation.

This community project now features a range of modern amenities to promote community engagement and healthy living. These include an outdoor gymnasium, a children’s play area, multi-use courts, and other facilities. These spaces are specifically designed to bring artistic, cultural, and educational activities closer to residents of Tepeolulco and surrounding areas, marking a significant investment in the well-being of the neighbourhood.
