#AtizapánDeZaragoza, #StateOfMexico.- The Government of Atizapán de Zaragoza has reaffirmed its commitment to providing legal certainty and security for its residents by distributing 200 wills to citizens participating in the local initiative. This latest action brings the total number of beneficiaries in 2025 alone to one thousand Atizapenses, strengthening a municipal programme that has directly assisted three thousand 682 citizens and indirectly benefited more than 11 thousand 772 people during the administration’s four years. The Municipal President, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, presided over the ceremony, which guarantees the protection of family assets and promotes a culture of legal planning.
During the handover, Municipal President Rodríguez Villegas urged attendees to recognise the importance of this legal instrument. He declared, “I celebrate that each and every one of you has taken on the responsibility that this great step represents, because we must accept that age has caught up with us, we must accept that life is not guaranteed, and we must dare to take this decision.” The Mayor stressed that legal planning is essential at any stage of life: “Whether we are old, young, or middle‑aged, we must always provide legal certainty to what we have generated.”
The Director of Legal and Consulting Affairs, Fernando Iván Jasso Aguirre, explained that all wills processed through this initiative were managed by the department’s legal team, ensuring the service was offered at a highly affordable cost to the public. This programme enables Atizapenses to formalise their last wishes, guaranteeing that their assets are distributed according to their intentions, while preventing future family disputes and costly judicial proceedings.
The Mayor Rodríguez Villegas expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in his administration by the citizens, emphasising that their support is vital for Atizapán de Zaragoza to continue making a lasting impact. He highlighted the project’s legacy, stating, “With this act, with this action, this government is making its mark; today we leave a footprint and testimony of this administration’s work in each and every one of your homes; there is now legal certainty over the property you have generated and we will continue working for the benefit of all.”
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Guadalupe Piñán Pérez conveyed her appreciation to Municipal President Pedro Rodríguez, “for his firm commitment and his leadership in promoting programmes that touch the lives of families in Atizapán.” Piñán Pérez praised the wills campaign as a clear reflection of an administration that genuinely cares about and is dedicated to the legal certainty citizens require.
