#SustainableUrbanFuture #InnovationForCommunities —– #Naucalpan, #StateOfMexico.- The municipality of Naucalpan has unveiled an ambitious vision for the future with the presentation of the «Naucalpan 2077» project, a transformative initiative that seeks to redefine urban life through sustainability, inclusivity, and dignity. At the heart of this endeavour lies the determination to align local governance with global standards, ensuring that communities thrive in harmony with modern development. The announcement was marked by a strong commitment to transparency and responsibility, underscoring the administration’s pledge to build a city that reflects both innovation and social justice. The project has already captured widespread attention, positioning Naucalpan as a model of forward-looking municipal leadership.
The «Naucalpan 2077» programme is conceived as a shared vision between the municipal administration and civil society, aiming to create a sustainable city where integral development and collective well-being converge. By adapting existing spaces and resources intelligently, the initiative aligns municipal policies with the United Nations Agenda 2030, ensuring that local action resonates with international goals. This approach represents a decisive step towards transforming realities and embedding resilience into the urban fabric.
The project has drawn the participation of more than 100 experts from renowned international and national institutions, including ONU Hábitat, UNESCO, business chambers, and academic organisations. Their multidisciplinary contributions focus on urbanism, architecture, and regenerative design, with the clear objective of converting Naucalpan into a fully functional and progressive entity. As emphasised by Hugo Isaak and Hugo Valdés Padilla, president and director of the Foundation, the collaboration embodies a collective determination to shape a city that meets the challenges of the future.

A tangible example of this transformation is the construction of Line 3 of the Mexicable, which has already achieved more than 52 per cent progress. Framed within the concept of Teco-Mobility, the project is supported by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez and seeks to redress historical inequalities by connecting marginalised communities. Each station is designed to become a hub of economic development and social integration, offering new opportunities and spaces for community life.
In parallel, the «Proyecto Códice» has been introduced, focusing on the creation of Mosaics and the establishment of ten community wellness centres with a perspective of gender and diversity. These innovative spaces will promote citizen learning, sport, entrepreneurship, and physical and mental health, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and cultural enrichment.
The leadership of Mayor Isaac Montoya Márquez has demonstrated exemplary adherence to the Agenda 2030, successfully linking 16 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to municipal strategies. This achievement guarantees a prosperous and functional future for all Naucalpenses, consolidating the municipality’s role as a beacon of sustainable urban transformation.
