Cuautitlán Izcalli Reports Significant Progress in Public Security Under Daniel Serrano Palacios

#SecurityInIzcalli #CuautitlánIzcalli *** #CuautitlánIzcalli, #StateOfMexico.- Mayor #DanielSerranoPalacios leads an administration reporting favorable progress in #Security indicators in Cuautitlán #Izcalli, particularly in crimes affecting the assets of families and businesses. Between January and August 2026, #ResidentialBurglary decreased by 39% compared with the same period in 2024, while #BusinessRobbery declined by 2%. The reduction becomes particularly relevant considering that both crimes also recorded improved results compared with the same period in 2025. This trend points to a scenario of crime containment in one of the areas with the greatest impact on the population’s daily sense of security.

In the case of residential burglary, the figures show a sustained reduction during the period analyzed. Between January and August 2024, 169 cases were recorded, while during the first eight months of 2026, the figure fell to 103, a difference of 66 incidents. Compared with 2025, when 156 cases were recorded, the decrease amounts to 53 incidents, equivalent to a 34% reduction.

Business robbery also shows a downward trend, falling from 528 cases during the first eight months of 2024 to 519 over the same period in 2026. The change represents nine fewer incidents, equivalent to a 2% decrease; compared with 2025, when 589 cases were recorded, the reduction amounts to 70 incidents, or 12%. This result is accompanied by a 26% decrease in high-impact crimes, which fell from 4,391 cases in 2024 to 3,259 during 2026.

In Cuautitlán Izcalli, the evolution of crime indicators is taking place as Daniel Serrano’s administration maintains preventive operations, patrols, and coordination with state and federal authorities. These efforts are complemented by actions targeting commercial areas and surveillance mechanisms aimed at strengthening the response to potential incidents. Public perception also improved during the second quarter of 2026, when the percentage of the adult population that considered living in the municipality unsafe stood at 74.9%, compared with 81.8% in the previous quarter.

The challenge for Daniel Serrano will be to sustain this trend and translate the reduction in crime statistics into greater confidence for families and the business sector. The municipal strategy will continue to rely on a strong territorial presence, prevention, and institutional coordination, with the goal of consolidating safer and more peaceful conditions for the residents of Cuautitlán Izcalli.
