(#TourismMexico– #MexicanWine) *** #SanMiguelDeAllende, #Guanajuato. — San Miguel de Allende is poised to take center stage in the #InternationalWineIndustry with the CMB International Gala Guanajuato 2026, an event that will bring together wine excellence, tourism promotion, and business opportunities. Supported by Mayor #MauricioTrejoPureco, the gathering will mark a new chapter in Guanajuato’s relationship with the #GlobalWineIndustry. The arrival of producers and specialists from various countries will place the municipality at the heart of an international conversation where quality, innovation, and tradition converge.

The event is expected to bring together approximately 500 attendees, including industry professionals, producers, and representatives of domestic and international markets. “Beyond its ceremonial significance, the gathering will provide an ideal setting in San Miguel to establish connections, exchange knowledge, and explore opportunities for commercial collaboration,” Mayor Mauricio Trejo explained. For the region’s wineries and wine-related ventures, this international exposure represents an opportunity to showcase their offerings to industry specialists and increase recognition of their products.

The reach of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB) adds an international dimension to the celebration. The competition operates in more than 55 countries and evaluates thousands of wine and spirits labels. Guanajuato’s relationship with the organization dates back to 2024, when León hosted an edition of the competition that strengthened the state’s presence on the international wine scene. Building on that experience, San Miguel de Allende is preparing to host a gala format that will be unprecedented in the organization’s history.

The region’s production capacity lends further weight to this initiative: Guanajuato ranks fourth nationally in wine production, has more than 600 hectares under cultivation, and produces over 1.6 million bottles annually. The state is also home to wineries and establishments that combine wine tasting with gastronomy and tourism experiences. These assets position the CMB International Gala Guanajuato 2026 as an opportunity to stimulate economic activity and strengthen San Miguel de Allende’s profile among destinations associated with wine culture.

The November 29–30 celebration aims to turn international recognition into tangible opportunities for producers, merchants, and service providers. Hotels, restaurants, and local businesses stand to benefit from the influx of visitors and the economic activity generated by the scheduled events. Through this initiative, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo and Mayor Mauricio Trejo Pureco are seeking to strengthen a vision in which wine contributes to tourism development, business growth, and regional identity.
